Our Projects

El apoyo entre mujeres es un pilar fundamental
para avanzar hacia un propósito común: el cuidado,
la protección y el bienestar de la niñez. A través de este
proceso se busca fortalecer las capacidades de las mujeres,
brindándoles herramientas que les permitan asumir un nuevo
poder en sus vidas: el manejo de su propia economía,
con el acompañamiento y la asesoría de la organización
Diente de León. Este proceso contribuye a que muchas
madres cabeza de hogar puedan generar ingresos
de manera más autónoma y, al mismo tiempo, disponer
de más tiempo para compartir con sus hijas e hijos.
De esta manera, pueden acompañar de forma más
cercana sus procesos de crecimiento, educación y
desarrollo emocional, al tiempo que participan activamente
en las actividades de la fundación como agentes de cambio dentro de sus comunidades.

De forma complementaria a los procesos formativos
y pedagógicos desarrollados, se ha realizado un trabajo
de incidencia en diversas comunidades indígenas
ubicadas en el departamento de Risaralda, en zonas
limítrofes con el Chocó y en territorios del Amazonas.
Estas acciones se han enfocado en el desarrollo de
procesos transversales que dialogan directamente con
las dinámicas culturales propias de cada comunidad.

El proyecto de teatro ha sido desarrollado por fases desde el inicio
del proyecto y actualmente se encuentra en su etapa final de
ajustes, con el objetivo de presentarse en diferentes regiones de
Colombia y posteriormente a nivel internacional. La obra aborda,
desde un enfoque preventivo y reflexivo, la historia del personaje
Gracielita, quien es víctima de desaparición forzada. A través de
esta narrativa se visibilizan preguntas y realidades que muchas
veces no se expresan abiertamente, como la denuncia de las
desapariciones y los vejámenes a los que son sometidos
niños y niñas, no solo en el contexto del conflicto armado,
sino también en entornos vulnerables donde persisten múltiples
formas de violencia.

Colombia is among the world's leading coal producers and is heavily economically dependent on fossil fuels: between 40 and 50% of its exports are coal and oil. That is why we are working to reduce the environmental impacts caused by fossil fuels, such as the use of cooking oil. One liter of oil can contaminate 1,000 liters of water.

Over the past six months, we have successfully engaged 75 senior women from the community of Frailes, Dosquebradas, Colombia. The majority of these women are Umbra indigenous, and their ancestral knowledge, traditions, and culture have directly strengthened our organization's objectives and mission. This has also bolstered our environmental project, which involves transforming used cooking oil into liquid soap. The goal is to make this process a source of self-sufficiency for the participants, motivating them to continue their lives independently.

Prevention of Sexual Violence through Art and Recreation in the Municipality of Belén de Umbría. Our project is focused on strengthening community processes through the promotion and prevention of sexual violence among children, adolescents, and young people in the municipality of Belén de Umbría, Risaralda. We take a systemic approach, upholding the right to recreation and equity, and strive to fulfill their simplest dreams, which, due to their socioeconomic circumstances, they cannot access and which sometimes remain just dreams.

Due to the gaps created by the global pandemic in the educational field, we found it necessary to create this project, called "Patchwork Quilt," through an external program providing pedagogical support and psychosocial care. This program involves the family environment with workshops outside of the regular school day, serving two groups of 20 children and adolescents each, one in the morning and one in the afternoon, for a total of 40 families. Participants will receive in-home medical care, food security, parent training, and opportunities for constructive use of free time through sports. This allows us to develop psychosocial, pedagogical, social, artistic, family, and community skills, where we seek to strengthen the knowledge and learning of rural and urban populations through innovative methodologies that connect with our ancestral roots. This approach takes into account the abilities of the target population, based on Howard Gardner's theory of multiple intelligences, and uses art as a primary tool.

Another of our projects is the Godfather Plan, through which we support children and adolescents from rural and remote areas so that they can fulfill their dreams, such as accessing education and developing fully.
