Frailes Dosquebradas Project

Over the past six months, we have successfully engaged 75 senior women from the community of Frailes, Dosquebradas, Colombia. The majority of these women are Umbra indigenous, and their ancestral knowledge, traditions, and culture have directly strengthened our organization's objectives and mission. This has also bolstered our environmental project, which involves transforming used cooking oil into liquid soap. The goal is to make this process a source of self-sufficiency for the participants, motivating them to continue their lives independently.

We have been working together with the community on psycho-social processes, strengthening bonds and affective ties, promoting assertive communication and trauma transformation with a resilient approach, identifying risk factors, and healing processes aimed at non-repetition through dialogue of knowledge and strengthening of our ancestral roots.
